“I don’t visit temples regularly, so I wasn’t familiar with many of the customs. The priest had been helping me and I was grateful for his guidance. But that day, he suddenly told me he had holy water and wanted to bless me by tying a protection string. Before I could fully grasp what was happening, he slipped his hand inside my blouse.”
She added, “I was in complete shock and couldn’t respond immediately. But once I regained my composure, I made a firm decision—I will not remain silent about this violation.”

Immediately after the incident, Lishalinie reported the matter to the police and shared her experience online, which quickly gained widespread attention. Sepang District Police Chief ACP Noor Hisham Bahaman told local media Malay Mail:
“The accused is an Indian national. He was serving as a temporary priest at the temple as the permanent priest is currently abroad. Since the complaint was filed, the accused has gone into hiding. We are actively working to locate and apprehend him.”
Authorities further confirmed that the priest had been in Malaysia temporarily for religious duties and now faces charges of sexual harassment and indecent behavior. Efforts are underway to bring him to justice.
